Jan. 24th-Feb 28th–Confirmation Classes for
Adults and Older Youth
Confirmation is a sacramental tradition both ancient and modern that allows participants to make a public, voluntary re-affirmation of their Christian identity. Participants will gather to consider the workings of the Holy Spirit in their own lives and the lives of others while reviewing the gifts and responsibilities the sacrament of confirmation brings. Father Mac, with Paula Pavanis as aide, will lead a 6 week preparation class. Join us in this opportunity to prepare to formally and publicly invite the spirit to move. Since the Episcopal Church recognizes confirmation as a sacramental gift conferred by the Holy Spirit (via the bishop), regardless of denomination it is only formally received once. If you have already been confirmed and wish to further your studies and consider being "received", this class is also for you.
Dates: Jan. 24th-Feb 28th + Bishop's visit on March 7th
Time: After the 10:00 service. Classes will last about an hour.
Where: Grace Church. Exact room to be announced.
Supplies: Books will be available for purchase the first day of class.
What to bring: An open heart, open mind.
