Do you want to touch a live Angel? Well you can by preparing them to start their life journey with YOUR HANDS.

Each month one hundred and fifty babies are born at San Francisco General Hospital. The nursing staff tries to send mothers and babies home with a care kit containing useful items, such as toiletries for mom and a warm and fuzzy blanket for baby. Many babies are from one parent families and are placed in foster homes until the mothers can take care of them. Some go to shelters with their mom, and some are placed with extended families.

Now, here’s where YOU come in. You have an opportunity to give your extra love and hugs!

We want all you knitters, crocheters, and sewers on our TEAM. Any extra baby or sock yarn will make a cap you can whip out in a couple of hours. We have yarn available for you.

Receiving blankets or burp pads are put together quickly.

This is a worthwhile project for you, your children, grandchildren, the whole family. KNITTING NIGHT sleepover for girls. Seasoned citizens with extra time, can connect with a new generation of little ones. You never know if one of these new Angels might be a Guardian Angel for YOU or YOUR FAMILY and HUG YOU back!

About Us:

BABY LOVE was born October 22, 2008. The first undertaking was The BABY PREPAREDNESS PROJECT, designed to clothe new born babies, with custom knit hats and receiving blankets for their journey home.

San Francisco General Hospital was chosen because they serve the poorest of the poor. Many of the new mothers are homeless, on some sort of public assistance, and are Caucasian, African American Chinese and Latino, especially new immigrants. As there is 135-150 births a month the need is ongoing for those in our target group.

In addition to donations from our Grace Church Family other contributors come from Orange County, CA and New England
